I have been caring for, pruning, and removing trees in mid-Michigan for a long time.

My father taught me how to safely operate a chain saw when I was only eight years old. He always stressed safety first and insisted on being with me when operating the equipment. 

 

When my birthday came around, Mom and Dad would always ask me what I wanted to do to celebrate my special day.  Go to a movie? Go to a ball game?  How about going out for ice cream?   My answer was always the same: "I want to crank up the chain saw and cut wood!"
